2nd Place – Julia Coccaro

3rd Place – Tyler Fahy

Julia Harris wrote: What is a SFEEF? SFEEF is like an apple tree, it nourishes the young fruit until it falls from the tree and grows into a tree itself. SFEEF gives us a better education. With a better education, I can grow up to be a doctor, or a oceanographer, meteorologist, astronomer, geologist, geochemistrer, zoologist, sismologer, vet, geographer, astronaut, even president of the United States. It’s all possible, thanks to the better education I can get from SFEEF. With a better education people can find cures for cancer, and find an alternative fuel to fuel our cars, create energy and stimulate the economy. Thanks SFEEF for the education, care and inspiration you’ve given to so many ! Thanks SFEEF!

Julia Coccaro wrote: SFEEF does a lot for our school. The acronym for it is Spanish Fort Education Enrichment Foundation. The staff of SFEEF takes their time and appreciation to assist with the concept of this program. SFEEF also shows their gratitude by sending wondrous gifts to hard working deserving teachers. Ipads, cameras, library books, ipods and even promethean boards ae some good examples of the types of gifts SFEEF sends us. Without the fantastic books for our library, the demonstrating smartboards for our math classes and the excellent technology at this school, Spanish Fort Middle school would definitely not be the same. SFEEF prepares students for major responsibilities, such as high school, college and education later on in life. It also helps students succeed with homework assignments and particular studies. SFEEF’s fundraisers and events for raising money have helped our school immensely. This foundation requires volunteers that are willing adults and encouragement from teachers and students. These unique money raising programs encourage students and adults from all around the area to get up on their feet and support all Spanish Fort schools. Without SFEEF I probably couldn’t study as well, do homework as thoroughly or listen as carefully in class. I wouldn’t be as confident with my grades and schoolwork. What do you visualize after you remove your math teacher’s prometheam board from the picture in your mind? It would be difficult for the teacher to demonstrate the problems and help you understand. Think of how hard it would be to not understand something – just because you don’t have the tools to do it correctly. Let’s all thank SFEEF for helping us in school and helping us take pride in what we do!

Tyler Fahy writes: I think SFEEF is a great way to provide for schools. It helps become more hands on. I walked into our special needs class one day. When I walked in I saw several kids huddles around an ipad. I thought “this is great way to entertain and learn at the same time”. Even in MATH one of the most boring subjects ever ! There is still a way to make it fun! And it comes from SFEEF money! Its called a “SmartBoard”. The Smart Boards make solving problems and equations more fun. SFEEF standsfor Spanish Fort Education Enrichment Foundation. I also love how it helps schools. Giving money to schools is awesome, every school should do it. It also gives grants too. My music teacher last year got a grant for an IPAD. Now that she has one she used it a lot. I think that all the special needs teachers should get IPADS. Parents should help with SFEEF money. Our schools could benefit even more if the parents all chipped in and helped. Overall it would make all our subjects more fun and more hands on! School would be son boring if SFEEF was not created. So my point is that without SFEEF schools are not fun and it is important to keep schools FUN!
